LAMDA TERM
In the Summer Term our pupils follow the LAMDA performance poetry syllabus, with an optional exam at the end of term. Our brilliant results speak for themselves, last year 84% were awarded distinctions and 16% received Merits. With learning poems at the heart of the new curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2 this is a fun way of getting children excited by language (and can earn your children UCAS points)

After School Drama classes are open to all, you do not need to be a student at Malorees to attend.
What happens in the Club?
Every school is unique and our syllabus is tailored to fit the individual needs of each venue. Below is a general outline of our classes.
Autumn Term
In the first term of the academic year we focus on using drama to develop social skills such as good listening, confident voices and empathy. The classes are a fun mixture of drama games, songs, movement and improvisation.
Spring Term
In the Spring Term we build on this to work towards a performance – learning songs, poems and dialogue improves students’ literacy skills and builds academic confidence. The experience of performing together creates a very powerful sense of achievement.
Summer Term
In the Summer Term our pupils follow the LAMDA performance poetry syllabus, with an optional exam at the end of term. Our brilliant results speak for themselves, last year 84% were awarded distinctions and 16% received Merits. With learning poems at the heart of the new curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2 this is a fun way of getting children excited by language (and can earn your children UCAS points)
We teach LAMDA in our termly classes every Summer, and all year round via private tuition.
Our results are exceptional – last year we had a 100% pass rate, with 84% of children awarded “Distinction”.
LAMDA tuition can be delivered digitally, taught either 1:2:1 or in small group classes.
What is LAMDA?
Summer term is our LAMDA term with optional exams at the end of term.
Have fun with performance poetry: “Be Glad Your Nose is On Your Face” is one of our favourites! Perform your favourite Musical Theatre song! We all love Bugsy! But there’s so many other songs to sing!
In our Teens class get stuck into acting pieces and gather those valuable UCAS Points with LAMDA.

Small Talk is an enchanting pre-school programme for young children.
As they make the journey through this step-by-step story experience, the Small Talk box unravels with sensory props and toys to engage and inspire.
Small Talk is designed to promote key social skills through endless drama fun and games. And the stories of the Alien and his exploits are lively, interactive fun.

ADULTS ACTING CLASS
Join us for a stimulating Drama class for adults in Kensal Rise and Queens Park. A creative class covering all aspects of drama: voice, physicality, text and improvisation. The sessions are run by professional actors passionate about passing on the tools of our trade.
Drama can have huge benefits as it boosts self-confidence, memory, communication skills, physical fitness, team work, concentration and empathy. But most importantly, a drama group is a brilliant social activity.
TEENS
Our Teens class develops young peoples’ acting and performance skills through fun drama workshops. Run by professional actors, writers and directors, our classes are a great way to make new friends, explore great writing and develop your own creative voice.

Acting / Fringe Theatre / LAMDA exams
In the Summer Term our Teens group works with the LAMDA syllabus,
with optional exams in Acting, Verse and Prose, Public Speaking and Musical Theatre.
Learning in a group is fun and affordable.
The exams are a great introduction to performance skills and earn UCAS points.
We have a 100% pass rate and a very high level of learners earn
‘Distinction’ – testament to the quality of our brilliant teachers.
Drama Teens is ideal for anyone who:
Wants to make new friends with a fun, creative activity
Is working towards GCSE or A-Level drama, and wants to support their learning
Is interested in progressing to study acting at College or University
Wants to take LAMDA examinations in a supportive, group environment
Would enjoy exploring a wide range of classic and modern texts in rehearsal and performance
Wants to develop their own creative voice through drama, in a safe, supported environment
Weekend Drama
Our Saturday classes are led by professional actors who bring all the buzz and fun of their profession to your children!
Taught in two age groups, 3 to 5 and 6 plus
We are flexible and tailor our classes to the individual. We will discuss with you which group is the best fit for those in-between ages.
Younger years progress through our unique SMALL TALK programme, role playing the colourful adventures of Mr Alien. To develop their confidence and social skills.
Older age groups enjoy actors’ physical and vocal warmups and drama exercises, developing clear speech, focus, memory skills and confidence. We create theatre through improvisation and devising scripts. We put these skills into practice with the children's performances.
Performances include everything from their versions of Medea and Hamlet to Alice in Wonderland and Bugsy Malone!
PRIVATE TUITION
We have years of experience coaching children and adults 1-2-1 and in small group sessions.
Our students improve their acting and performance skills, with 1:1 tuition. These sessions can build towards LAMDA examinations, help prepare for auditions or to just have FUN!

Our superb teachers are veterans of stage and screen, and use their performance skills to build students’ confidence and pass on the tools of their trade. Whether it’s taking LAMDA examinations in poetry, acting or musical theatre, brushing up your presentation skills or working towards an important audition – we’re here to help.
Sessions are fun, interactive and totally bespoke. Prices start from £50/hr and classes can be a short as 30 mins – or team up with a friend for small group sessions.

OSCARS NIGHT
The Drama starts as we help the birthday girl/boy ‘Meet and Greet” their guests. They will be “Papped” as they walk in on the red carpet.
Then it’s Drama all the way followed by the Oscar Night Ceremony. Climaxing in the presentation of the Oscar to the Birthday girl/boy, and a group photo at the plinth.

ADVENTURES IN TOYLAND
Impress your friends with a show performed especially for your child and his/her guests.
Our show “Adventures in Toyland” is colourful, funny and ultimately irresistible to children, with in-built opportunities to join in.
It has been written to suit the very young (2 to 7yrs) as well as being enjoyable for parents and older siblings.
We have designed the show so that it can fit in a small space if required (your sitting room). This is the ideal opportunity to introduce your child to the joy of “live theatre” without having to negotiate the additional stress of box office bookings, traffic, parking etc.
NB:We require advance booking of TOYLAND as we need to schedule in rehearsals for our professional Actors.
