COVID-19 Information for parents and carers
Please see below for the measures we are taking to reduce the possibility of Covid-19 transmission in our face-to-face classes, and what we ask of parents and carers.
PARENTS AND CARERS
Children who are vulnerable or shielding are advised not to attend.
If your child displays any symptoms of Covid-19 or other infectious diseases please DO NOT BRING THEM to the workshops. We will offer you a full refund for all unused days. We will ask for verbal confirmation that your child has been symptom free at morning registration.
If on the days after attending a Drama Queens workshop your child or anyone in your household develops symptoms of Covid-19 parents are obligated to contact Drama Queens.
Only 1 adult per child for drop off.
Please do not linger at drop off and pick up, and do not enter the venue unless explicitly asked by one of our team.
Where possible walk or cycle to classes, and avoid using public transport.
A Covid-19 risk assessment will have been completed for each venue.
Teachers will undergo a Covid-19 training course prior to running the workshops.
We will ensure numbers stay within current government guidelines for the age group and size of space.
Whilst early years providers (under 5s) are not expected to be able to enforce 2m social distancing at all times, nevertheless we will limit physical contact and the sharing of toys/props/scripts etc.
We will oversee regular hand washing throughout the day.
The venue will be thoroughly cleaned between groups. During the day surfaces that are more high risk (door handles, taps, etc) will be regularly cleaned with antiviral wipes/spray.
"Thanks for a great week last week - Eddie and Anna LOVED it."
Thank you so much for this brilliant initiative. It has been amazing seeing my kids so happy and involved! They really enjoyed it.”
The kids were very happy. I haven’t seen them so smiley and engaged since we have been in lockdown!
The class was absolutely wonderful – Maximilian was so excited and engaged and it has really boosted his mood for the rest of the day. Thank you.
I love Joe and I liked the monkey and the spider. I had fun and I want to do it again and again and again.
The online classes are brilliant, lots of laughter and lots of fun ringing throughout the house! Thank you Drama Queens for bringing some escapism to lock down.
This is what the internet was invented for!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jo for doing all these brilliant classes. Kasim remembers them and we play the Banana Game, sing like Opera Singers in high and low voices and talk about things that are “disgusting”! It’s been a joy to watch how Jo engaged with the little kids and made them laugh and participate. Thanks a lot!
