Steven Bloomer has been teaching with Drama Queens for the last 15 years! Now he works with our principal, Elizabeth Edmonds, to run our clubs. Steve trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and also works as a playwright and filmmaker.
Steven was storyboard editor for a number of children’s films and TV shows including: Bing, Stick Man and The Highway Rat.
Acting credits include: Kes (Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre), Wire in the Blood (ITV), Upon the Roof (Arcola Theatre), The Seagull Project (Factory Theatre). Writing credits include winning the Adrienne Benham award (Theatre Centre), Boiling Frogs (Southwark Playhouse), Punch (Edinburgh Festival) and You Were After Poetry (Hightide Festival). His most recent play, Bricolage, was shortlisted for the 2019 Papatango New Writing prize. Steve also created and directed the award-winning online comedy series, I Gotta Be Me.
